Dr. Marco Spitz

Dr. Marco Spitz has been part of globegarden since 2020 and is a member of the Management Board. As Chief Operating Officer, he is responsible for the operational management and the further development of the network. In this role, he also oversees succession solutions and the integration of new locations.

Before joining globegarden, Marco was the founder, owner, and CEO of KIMI Krippen AG, which he built from the ground up into a network of more than 30 locations. With this entrepreneurial background, he brings extensive experience in building and leading childcare networks as well as in the sustainable development of organisations.

He began his professional career at Swissair, where he worked as a consultant. During this time, he also initiated the first childcare centre at the airport—an early reflection of his commitment to family-friendly structures. This experience later led to the idea of founding KIMI Krippen.

With his experience, entrepreneurial mindset, and strong focus on operational excellence, he plays a key role in shaping the continued development of globegarden and is committed to maintaining high-quality and sustainable structures.

Marco studied and earned his doctorate at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). As a father of two grown children and a family-oriented person, he brings both professional expertise and a strong personal connection to the topics of family and childcare.
